=NARNIA=

so, it took me 5 whole days to finish all of Narnia's chronicles. it wasnt easy you know. i was sleepy, the book was heavy, the writing was a bit confusing, and not too mention all too polite for my own good. For example:

"Secondly," said Caspian, "I want to know why you have permitted this abominable and unnatural traffic in slaves to grow up here, contrary to the anciant custom and usage of our dominions."

"Necessary, unavoidable," said his Sufficiency. "An essential part of the economic development of the islands, I assure you. Our present burst of prosperity depends on it."

and

For when they had crossed the sandy beach, they found all silent and empty as if it were an uninhabited land, but before them there were level lawns in which the grass was as smooth and short as it used to be in the grounds of a great English house where ten gardeners were kept.

i'm not saying that i dont understand what CS Lewis was trying to portray, it isn't shakespeare. i'm just well, complaining about how not JK Rowling his writing style is. i must say that his story plot is very good indeed. i'm about to spoil it and tell you everything, still, i do wish he wasn't so.... er, old fashioned? HAHAHAH! (duh! what more can you expect from a guy born the late 19th century and grew up in the beginning of the 20th? )

No matter, i still wish i had that wardrobe though, or the pair of rings. then i can be whisked away into Narnia and have adventures just like the Pevensies or the other 2 children. Creatures from beyond, mountians, forests, talking animals, ASLAN, castles, sword fighting, bravery, witches... But that aside, WHATTABOUT TOILET!!!! heh heh, worrying. Utterly worrying doncha think? xD

It has been said that people turn to christianity after reading this book. No surprises there. Narnia doesn't exactly have the exact elements of anything Godly or Jesusly. It's the jist of faith and how Aslan seems to be everwhere (btw, a lil spoiler if you havent read all the books yet, Aslan is practically the creator of Narnia... he breathed [or sang] live into the world).
